Picked up a Cusco brake cylinder stopper from Wayne on Saturday and finally got around to installing it.
Looks quite oem in the engine bay and didn't take too long to install it. Will be interesting to see how it feels tomorrow. |
Looks good, glad we found out the Liberty ones fit and your install was fairly easy. :icon_thum
What's the brown spot on the housing in pics 1 and 3? Noticed I have the same thing too.
Data dots. The guys at Subaru really don't know how to show restraint! |

Well it looks like I'm one step closer to getting my last mod (or maybe second last :D) completed.
Can't wait to have this sitting on the car! Also have the front lip sitting in the shed, waiting to get the front bumper repaired before that can go on :( |
A boot lid!
Man I've always wanted to do that mod... heard so much about it but it takes balls to actually go and do it. Well done, you're up there with Tino and Ramon in the crazy stakes! |

Well done!
Balls & blind faith! |
;) But seriously. I know what you're trying to do - as you said when I was grabbing the GoPro - and it'll look sweet when it's done. Gonna be the nicest MY11 out there, if not already!
|
So what happens here Tony - you gonna weld the 2 bootlids together for extra downforce right?
|
Only the cool kids on the block are allowed to do that
I was thinking about hacking one into a vortex generator  |
mmm....bootlid
Looking good  |

There is no way I could compete with Ramon or Tino, well I could, but that would involve a large sum of money that I don't have :P
I'll just settle for having a car that just sticks out a little bit from the crowd! |
hows the suspension and handling ?
|
Very happy with it so far.
It could use a couple of small tweaks, but considering that it handles a lot better than stock and isn't too hard or uncomfortable, I can't really complain :D |
win
|
looking good so far!
question, did you ever end up installing that grimmspeed bcs you bought? |
BCS didn't end up getting installed and has been sold :(
|
Hey Tony
I see they have just released carbon trunks visin racing I think. http://www.iwsti.com/forums/showthread.php?t=212301 But I do like the colour coded one you have. James |

The oem look wasn't too bad, but the one with the lip looks odd :( Hopefully picking up and installing the boot this Friday, so fingers crossed that it looks as good as I have imagined :D |
As per the spotted thread.. car still looks GLEAMING!! Great to see it being well kept.
|
Picked up the boot & brake light today.
Must say that I'm quite happy with the look of the car :D Big thanks to James for helping me get all of this sorted  The worst part of the installation was getting the rear parcel shelf out so that the brake light could get mounted. Total time taken, a tad over 3 hours :( |
UUUMMMM nah think I liked the stock lip on the boot better :D
|
I hope Dave is stirring.
I like it! Three thumbs up. |
Glad I could help, sorry I wasn't there today.
Hope everything is as you expected it to be! |
Nice
You know its begging for some 18's and nice offset under those guards now ;) |

haha nah he let me know that he had it. ill go pick it up sometime over the weekend
cheers |
looks awesome man!
|
I think it makes the arse end look heaps better. Great mod Tony.
Anyone want to steal my Betty so I can get a Boris? |
I hope Dave is stirring.
I like it! Three thumbs up.
Just jokes I like the this mod very much Tony...18 x 10 et44 offset rims wrapped in 265's then drop it likes it hawt equals massive win in those fenders :D |
Yep definitely needs big rims and dumped now it doesn't have the rear lip, otherwise it looks like something missing.
|
needs more dumpage, looking good though.
|
needsmoredumpage
|
yeah bombed. Agree with the dumpage!
|
Looks good Tony. Well done
|
Don't think I could get any more dumpage out of that car without running into issues with scraping, especially once a front lip gets installed.
I would rather go for a set of 18" wheels to fill out the guards more, but this will have to wait a while :P |
Time for an update!
Norm is currently fabricating a nice new exhaust for the car, which should be getting fitted on Monday :D Pics to follow. |
bout time and yes I like this and so will you...dak dak love sounds predicted
|
Yay!!
|
Whens the tune then?
