As many of you would know, I recently picked up the new widebody wrx.

Seeing that the mods have begun, I thought its time to introduce the car with a bit more detail and the future mods I have in mind :D

This is what it looked like just a couple of hours after taking ownership of the car.

Welcome aboard Tony. Enjoy your stay, search button is your blah blah blah ;)

tint those fogs and tails
ratchet those coilovers down another 25mm
flash tune in current mechanical form

widebody FTW..right Tino ? :D

ImPreSiV 15-12-2010 09:48 PM

Love this car Tony. Look forward to seeing the future mods. Any pics with camber?

JDM_STYLE 15-12-2010 09:49 PM

You forgot your CUSCO brake stopper on the list. ;):D

Soksta 15-12-2010 10:05 PM
tint those fogs and tails
I'll wait for some one else to try this first and see what it looks like :P
ratchet those coilovers down another 25mm
Car sits low enough as it is now, should really get a side shot to compare before and after coilover installation.
Any pics with camber?
Only the ones I took after the RA mud flaps went on, but even on those you can't really see much.
Will try and get some happy snaps taken over the next couple of days.
You forgot your CUSCO brake stopper on the list. ;):D
Not only did I forget it, but I also forgot to pick it up :(

Nice Tony.

Tony is really patient...I know this because I drool on his car daily when its parked up in Perth and he cleans it everyday :p

Beautiful car and tastefully modded.

I had a look the list of mods to come.
This going to be quite the beast.

A big thanks goes to James (MY00GC8) for helping to locate the appropriate part numbers.

These came on Friday, a set of fog light covers as I really hate the look of the fog lights on this car.

For those interested, I've placed the part numbers in the opening post.

wrxr2d2 09-01-2011 12:47 PM

Nice Tony. I have been toying with the idea of removing the fogs as well. You really can't use them here in Aus. I see them without the fogs on iwsti website and they don't look to bad. I've put a request in with the war office for a set on my birthday or Christmas. I will have a better look in a couple of weeks when I see your car in the flesh.
But it does look good from the pictures.
James

American Dave 09-01-2011 12:58 PM

love the new mod much better look imo..can you funnel more air to brakes with this ?

JDM_STYLE 09-01-2011 01:02 PM

James to the rescue again, looks good Tony :icon_thum

Would be nice to see it at the secret squirrel meet today. :D

Master D 09-01-2011 01:12 PM

Wow there is so much want now!

GTB Liberty 09-01-2011 01:13 PM

Much better :d
I've put a request in with the war office for a set on my birthday or Christmas.
War office is the misses? :D
can you funnel more air to brakes with this ?
I'd have to say no as these covers fully close off the front bumper.
Even with the OEM covers there isn't alot of air flowing through to the brakes unless you completely removed the lights (which I didn't have the time to do, requires removing the front bumper) and put in some ducting.
Would be nice to see it at the secret squirrel meet today. :D
Everyone who just read this now knows of the existence of a secret squirrel meet, not so secret now ;)

and those of us with Wayne on Facebook... looks good Tony, as said, the foglights are pointless here in Australia, so the covers are a much better option, and look WAY better

Dr_Rock 09-01-2011 03:29 PM

They look great Tony.
The only thing I could find for MY08-10 were these, and they look nowhere near as good. The grille on the chargespeed car looks excellent as well.

here

I hope I can find something as good looking as the ones you have.

BALISTC 09-01-2011 06:40 PM

Looks great.. and weighs less!

RXqME 09-01-2011 06:57 PM

Looks sweet! Congrats!!

Yes they might have known there was one on but no idea where or when and Kymbo FB friends were invited so it doesn't matter. :D

Will just have to wait until next Saturday for the meet to actually check out your car properly Tony. :icon_thum

JDM_STYLE 09-01-2011 09:36 PM

Yeah he had a party to go to after you scavenged his Grimmspeed BCS. :D

RUSSGT 10-01-2011 10:16 AM

You should remove the lights completely and sell em to the yanks on Nasioc as they are sick for em!

trainwrex 10-01-2011 10:56 AM

yeh looks much cleaner.. never been a fan of fog lights on any subaru

Jimmy S 10-01-2011 12:02 PM

Looks great! Am liking the new shape more and more! :D

Still want them to build a wagon though! ;)
