Is there a signature, markings etc or anything to confirm it's a butler exhaust? Pretty sure there is one on my car but not 100% Just know it was about $1600 for mine, who I think it was sourced from Butler (full stainless mandrel, stainless oval muffler which looks quite small etc) sounds pretty deep and thumpy.

Edit: Own question answered: http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/general-...aust-pics.html

Yes mine is.

After a couple of weeks of trying to tune my car through Martin Donnon, we've decided to give up as such. We were trying to tune the car with just my butler TBE exhaust and nothing else.

I'll post up some dyno figures of the attempted tune in an hour or so.

Opinion time.

According to Martin Donnon, my Butler Built TBE exhaust is a "very poor exhaust mod".

Agree? Disagree?

I know several cars from the MY09 up to the MY11 have all be tuned here successfully with no issues at all with a butler exhaust. I don't know enough about the build of these things to really say, but I would like opinions.

Jono, MMS did my tune and there was no issues... was there any reason they thought the exhaust was a "poor exhaust mod"???

Butler Exhaust is top notch quality. I told ya tuning via the internet was a bad idea.

Go to MMS or ASG. Verso or Ecuteck. Tuned on a dyno. Done.

Its got me buggered Jono. Has Martin refunded your money as promised?

As I understand it ASG tried to tune and could not either?

Open source tunes both of them and both failed.

I am wondering if the stock ECU is an issue?

Yeah he did.

Every garage I've been to, everyone has had glowing endorsements for norms exhaust. I respect martin and what he knows, but to bag a product that every main subaru workshop in wa endorses just seems a little bit unprofessional. Maybe it was the fustration of not being able to tune it and then having to give a refund, I don't know.

ASG can tune it, they just had a software glitch on their side which meant they couldn't write to it but now should be good to go.

Crosses fingers for Sean being able to write to your ecu then !

Strange comment about dump pipe and think I will take it up with Martin just for clarification. I am sure he is running an aftermarket dump pipe in his betty.

talk about a long drawn out dump and tune mod !
