I had a fantastic time yesterday at the full day Barbagello track day run by WRXWA and the BMW club. I got to put plenty of laps on the car and had some fantastic mentoring from the Gocmeister. I'm looking forward to getting out there for the next no limits night and seeing if yesterday's practice translates into faster lap times.

I just realised recently that at the start of this month I had owned my WRX for a year so I thought I would do a quick run down on what I have achieved in the first 12 months.

To start with here are some comparison photos:

When I first bought the car:

How it looks now:

Mods:

Intake and Exhaust
-Removed Resonator
-Added Bunnings Spec Intake

Engine and Drivetrain
-Heavy Duty Clutch
-Lightened Flywheel

Suspension and Brakes
-HSD HR Coil Over Suspension
-Whiteline Front Strut Brace
-Ultrex Rear Strut Brace
-HEL Braided Brake Lines
-QFM A1RM High Temp Pads

Interior
-AutoMetre Boost Gauge

Exterior/Cosmetic
-Removed Roof Racks
-Clear Front Bar Indicators
-Clear Side Repeaters
-Painted Orange Vents Black
-Replica STI Lip
-PIAA Silicone Windscreen Wipers
-Hella Super Tones

Not a huge amount of work over 12 months especially compared to some others but I'm happy to build it up slowly.

Also, so far I've tracked it at:

-RAC Skidpan
-RAC Long Track
-Midvale Speed Dome Long Track
-Barbagello Short Track
-Barbagello Long Track

I still have them in the shed but I'm not selling them as they are bloody useful. I throw them on whenever we go shopping at IKEA.

I noticed you forgot to list "Econo" tyres in your mod list.

I had a look at them in the light and they are Kuhmo Ecstars but I'm still pretty sure that the Ec stands for Economy. On Saturday GOC was amazed at how well they held the road considering they were cheap street tyres.

A small update. I've just ordered a Cusco BMC stopper from Car Mods Australia. Will post pics when it arrives and is installed.

Also JeStEr, I won't be needing your knob anymore. I just ended up peeling the skin back off mine and rubbing some alcohol on it to get rid of the sticky stuff and make it all shiny.

Worked a treat and looks fine now.

Still need to order those STI pedals though.
