Yeh Gav. Both him and Dan at CMA are awaiting stock. They're hoping for 2 weeks away but I've got to try and coordinate when I can get my car into ASG with work and before the cruise, etc. Due to work I can only drop my car off on a Thursday or Friday morning.

nick73, it's being sold through a tuner/workshop over there and has been checked out. I trust their judgement. Having said that I would prefer new.

What actual difference do you think you will get? What power is your car making now and do you even use the power it currently has? Any track work/drags etc?

Currently on 193kw/258hp/389nm but that's on ASG's old calibration. There may end up being very little difference, but I wouldn't be the first person on Perth WRX to install a new turbo for little gain

I'm just used to the power I guess, and would like to try out an aftermarket turbo "while I can" (currently building a house and as of the end of the year, there will be no money for car/toys!). The turbo should perform very similarly to A.Dave's old BBK-M that GTB Lib now has. He's done a 12.8 at Mototplex since installing it, so that's been a bit of an influencing factor. Haven't hit skidpan or drags yet but will in good time.

Just my thoughts are that those figures are really good. They are also only made in high gears. You should just get out and use the power you have. Make you realise that you dont need more. Mine only had a little bit more than that and its was more than powerful enough.

Those figures are/were actually a bit lower than other members here with a VF52 with less mods. I guess I'd also like a bit more trev-chopping ability at the lights, lol.

I understand what you're saying though Russ and I'm usually Mr. Sensible to the n'th degree but I just want to experiment while I can (albeit an expensive one). Once the house takes over I think any future car expense would simply be a new car as opposed to new turbo or an engine build, etc. The way I look at it is apart from everyone's initial tune and perhaps a Brembo upgrade for those that can afford it, most modifications we do to our cars end up being a case of diminishing returns when looking at how much they cost us + labour.

edit: also I have to take advantage of the fact that my missus is a fiancee at the moment and not a wife, therefore has less control over my expenditure, hehe
