Nice Ryan. Suits it nicely and perfect height! Is Des coming out to your house or you going to him? I need to get in to get my rears rolled

Perfect fitment.

Not obnoxious, just enough poke.

98kellrs 09-03-2012 07:39 PM

LYeah I was lucky, just used the same settings from my stock rims and it sat perfect. The rear is a bit low so might need to come up a bit, but the front can have more low!

Im going round to Des' place, will let you know details after Kym.

Just had the guards rolled by Des from AutoFX. Did a great job in less than two hours and it was generally a very nice professional service. Thoroughly recommend him! Will post up pics monday evening when the rims are on.:D

Got the car back from STechnic yesterday, the rota's look MINT! Doug and the guys at STechnic worked tirelessly to get a perfect fitment that means absolutely zero rubbing, and still a nice aggressive stance.

Turns out that the last alignment I had done when the STD's were fitted had gone somewhat badly, each corner was at a different height, with different toe and camber!! Eventually the car was straightened up and some shorter control arms were fitted to the rear to neutralise the camber at the rear as much as possible.

Some more pics (much the same as before)

Heaps of room for Brembo's!!

Next up is going to be 22mm rear sway bar, possible ALK, oval exhaust and the full brembo upgrade with DBA4000 rotors. Better get saving!! :D

Looks great Ryan. Why not a full cat back system with a canon?

98kellrs 14-03-2012 11:15 PM

Cheers! I meant Oval TBE, I'm not too keen on the cannon's, too many issues with droning and I want to keep it nice and quiet at low revs. I was actually planning to keep it stock with only uppipe and downpipe upgrades but I can't hear the engine over the tyre noise when I'm thrashing it. :(

Butler exhaust + tune :)

On idle you would barely know the car is ticking over and its not loud at all driving normally (and I drive with no backseat permanently), just a nice burble....but when you do decide to press the loud pedal, it'll make plenty of noise.

TurboXS/PERRIN are other alternatives that would do nicely as well (though I think the PERRIN may use a cannon).

Obligatory peanut wrx question but: any plans for fog covers + splitter + front lip?

Wheels look schweet!!

98kellrs 15-03-2012 04:19 PM

Cheers for the advice! Not really looking to spend that much on an exhaust tbh. I know the butler exhausts are fantastic quality and fit but I just don't want to spend that much. I'll have a think about that one.

haha as for the classic peanut question Im concerned that it will be difficult to paint match the champagne gold, I'd love a lip but with the splitters as well it would sit too low. There are a scary amount of carparks/driveways that are hard for a lowered car. I might have a go at making my own lower profile lip though that doesn't require splitters, I've done one before so it can't be that hard. Foglight covers will probably happen when I get the bonnet resprayed in a few months time.

One thing I am now considering is deoranging the headlights.
