haha, don't take it too seriously! :p
All good, I love cheap thrills!

Just put in an order for a Lathe Werks hybrid piston gear knob, kartboy front and rear shift bushings and a powder black alternator cover. Should keep me occupied until I can afford the exhaust, suspension and brembo upgrades.
;)

This is a VERY nice car :) like the rims.

Weird colour too, but I like it.

How are you finding the ride of STD's? It was my choice until I heard of the HSD's and figured they could be adusted from the bottem (not need to take the seat out, even though its only a 3 minute job).

Yeah it's one of those colours that doesn't photograph easy so it always looks really green or really yellow when it's not really either.

I don't really have anything to compare the STD's to, but they seem alright. The ride is much, much harsher (the gf has to hold her boobs down on some of the bumpier roads!). Heard lots of good about the HSD's on here though. To be honest coilovers aren't something you need to mess around with too often unless you're a track whore IMO.

Finally got a place on a track day in April so started preparations, first up was to get the car booked in for an oval TBE and 22mm rear sway bar at STechnic in a couple of weeks. Spoke to Damien and Doug and they reckoned the car should be fine without a tune so I'll go with that until I do the turbo upgrade in a few months. :D

Still waiting on shift bushings and gear knob to arrive from Lathe Werks..

After reading enough threads to sufficiently scare myself about the consequences of not getting a tune with a TBE I have just booked into MMS to get an Ecutek tune in a few weeks. Will also be a good chance to see exactly where the car is at in terms of power, or lack of! :D

get intake and fuel pump etc at teh same time?

98kellrs 02-04-2012 11:52 AM

I have a walbro at home that I'll install myself before the tune. Not fussed on an intake, might shove a panel filter in there but the stock system is pretty good from what I've read.

Love the gear knob - guessing it isnt cheap ?

98kellrs 02-04-2012 12:29 PM

Well for the base model in steel its only $60, that one is the hybrid copolymer and steel which starts at $130 but cost 170 by the time you add shift pattern engraving, textured grip and a bronze finish to the steel. So in other words Nope! Not cheap!

Expensive knobs are better ;)

Tune will have you smiling for sure.
