So finally it has been confirmed, STi has a fucked head gasket around cylinder one

Current idea after speaking to a few people is:
New 207 short block
12mm oil pump
Slightly thicker head gaskets
ARP Head studs
272 cams w/ stiffer spings
Vipec/Link/Motec
Headers
Turbo
Injectors
Tune
Aim MXG Display (not because i need it, it just looks seriously cool IMO)
Skids..

I'm kinda happy its been confirmed at this point in time as ive had a few months at a new job and can pay for it, so well see how we go.

Head gasket isn't too hard a job if you are handy under the bonnet.

But it's also a great excuse to upgrade, so why not

Sounds like Robs Motec dash would be cheaper at 1,650pounds ex tax + shipping/insurance etc?

Yep, I'd like to have a go at it but we'll see what is happening when I get to that stage.

Haha yep best time for it won't go anything to special..

Have spoken to Rob about that. If I do get it, I'll get family to grab it for me when they are over there so hopefully dodging all the shipping / tax ect. It's a low priority to so well see when the time is right about grabbing one.
