The only way you can get rid of the speed cut is the defender or aftermarket ecu.

I think we were on this subject before but I can't quite remember, could I just get the aftermarket ecu without upgrading other things, I know I won't get any power gains(and it will be pricey) but if it means I can go over 180kmh I'll be happy otherwise defender it is.

Can get an aftermarket ecm but it will have to be fitted and tuned. And tuning is costly

The speed cut defender interferes with the signal your speedo is sending the computer, from memory all the wires are marked for fitting so just a bit of splicing down in the footwell, I bought 2 of them new from Japan about 6yrs ago, seagull fitted his and it worked well but like most of the things I buy mine has sat around unused, let me know if you want it, I'm in Forrestfield atm so not too far from you (provided I can find it)

When I bought my apexi power FC, it cost me about $1400 brand new from car mods, and for allstar to fit and tune was about $550 to $600.
Hope that helps.

Expect anywhere from 2000 to 3000 for New ECU's, Dyno Time, Labour and Expertise.

Or look for a secondhand power FC for your model, which should be about $700-800 plus tune.
