Default My 03 XT

Hey guys,

Thought I'd put up a build thread as I've picked up my 2003 XT forester after
Reluctantly selling my beloved Rex, so to make it short the forester was bog stock when I picked it up and what I've done as it currently sits:

-XXR 527 18x8.75 +35 offset, wrapped in 225 tyres
Bit too much stretch for my liking but oh well next time.
- Full audio sound system thanks to alberts
- Larger hood scoop
Still undecided if I should match the colour to the car or leave it black?
- All 4 guards rolled

The car sits stupidly high for the wheels but will be lowered on coilovers once I decide the height, anyways future plans begin tomorrow as the car is going into Evo R for the week to get done the following:

- reflash ECU tune
- Brand new VF34 turbo
- Process west TMIC
- Process west CAI
- 255L Walbro fuel pump
- STi 565cc Injectors
- Full 3" Xforce Varex TBE Stainless steel
- Catless Xforce up-pipe and down-pipe
- R5 coilovers
- Roll centre kit for lowering
- Ultrex short shifter + bushings Kit

So yeah fair bit of work going into it and can't wait for the result so that's it for now more to come later in the week, pics below sorry for shitty iPhone snaps haha, cheers

It looks like your Forry will be seriously transformed after this week, I'm sure you'll love it.
Probably too late but I would ask the guys at Evo R if they've got any old stuffed VF22s lying around and smash the P20 rear housing on your VF34. There is a very good chance you will have boost creep issues with the P18 housing on the 2.5L. Check specifically that the entry into the wastegate port from inside the exhaust housing is rounded and smooth instead of being a sharp edge as this is what causes the boost creep issues. From memory the P20 housings already come with this edge smoothed.

Yeah it'll be quite the beast,

Was kinda hoping I could get away with that haha but yeah I figured I might need a p20 housing, but yeah forgot to check the entry waste gate before I took it in ohwell, worst comes to worst i'll just slam the p20 housing in there and no worries

Nah had a look but not my thing, yeah it's been in there all week still waiting for
a larger scoop to come in then it'll be getting colour matched by Neil at unique refinishers..
Wheels poke quite abit actually more than what I thought but ill see how it sits on coilovers and go from there

Update:

so bit of an update after 2 long weeks and a shitload of mods finally got my XT back and I cannot say how impressed/happy the outcome is. Ecutek Reflash tune netted 302hp and 472nm and it handles and performs amazing cannot thank mao and warwick enough for their hardwork and a quality tune as always, height wise on the coilovers i'll probably keep it at that as I can get over bumps without scrapping only just :P, so thats it for now pics below and may post graph up later..
