Well it's been a heart breaking afternoon.
Had a collision with another car, was completely the other drivers fault. Collided with their car and smashed in my front left end, smashed up some back end and also buckled my right rear hub and possibly shaft.

Can only hope it will have a speedy recovery! :(

:(

How much is it insured for? Depending on your insurer and your policy type, they may write it off, and pay you out based on cost to repair. Looks mostly cosmetic up front though.

I think my policy is around ~$15k based on the age of the car, which would basically mean if I have a accident and it's a write off, I will be stripping and having to sell the parts of value.

Not much tread on those tyres.

Hope you can get a good outcome one way or the other!

Ooops. Looks like that front wheel has some positive camber too.

If you have a choice of repairer I can highly recommend Paramount Vehicle Services in Wangara - Barry Callaghan. He repaired my Betty after "The Incident" last year.

Good luck.

Cheers Rich, insured for around $9k as its 14 year old car :/ I really hope it's not a write off! just have to wait and see what the assessor say's and go from there.

Thanks Nick if its repairable I'll hit him up and see what he says.

Almost certain to be a right off if only insured for $9k.

well it's the news I didn't want to hear.. the wrx has been written off, the chassis is bent and from what the assessor say's its not repairable :( insurance has covered me thankfully. On a brighter note they're is an STi on the cards ;)

STI mmmmmmmm
there's always a positive to most outcomes

joshrx 09-07-2015 04:45 PM

Ah sucks man, as I was scrolling through the photos I was imagining the cost and effort to correct it (even assuming chassis was ok) and suspected this outcome.

Time to start a new chapter! STI!!
