Sorted out the front stage on the wagon today. Some decent CDT Eurosport 6" mids with custom spacers and a bit of trimming along with some Dynamat and now there's some reasonable midbass going on. I know queries come up all the time about what will fit in the doors of various WRX's so I tried to capture a few images that may be of some assistance to others. I didn't bother taking photos of running the extra wiring to accommodate the crossovers not being mounted in the doors, nor did I capture the process of trimming off the small plastic ring from the rear of the door trim. The spacers are constructed of one layer of 6mm mdf and two layers of 12mm mdf. They were bonded with cyanoacrylate glue (Zap-A-Gap) and painted with some flat black spray can paint. A couple other minor points are that the spacers had a little bead of silastic applied at the time of being finally mounted, foam tape could be used alternatively. And the four screws that hold the mid extend to grab into the metal of the door. The metal cut from the door itself was to allow clearance of the speaker terminals.

There is a more comprehensive set of photos here for the extra curious - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...4318221&type=3

Tail light symmetry has now been achieved thanks to P-WRX member Patch doing me a great deal on a JDM tail light.

Yes, the JDM tail light is plug and play, the plug has six pins, the tail light uses five so both the fog light and reverse light feed are already in the loom of the vehicle.

Good stuff. I have never liked the way some car manufactures make 1 side reverse and the other fog. It must be equal on both sides.
