I did it with my RA. Very straight forward. Budget $1000 for transport. Do all your homework on the phone and with pics via email. Check with the local authorities for current registration and ownership/finanace status. Then bite the bullet and fly over, cheque in hand ready to do the deal if it all stacks up.

In Perth it just needs a trip over the pits so dont be buying anything too modified unless you have access to parts to borrow to make it an easily passable vehicle. If it is likely to be a car that is defectable, you will have issues getting it over the pits.

Can be worth the effort though as there are some cheap cars over here.
