How serious an upgrade are you talking Joe?

If its just a deck, then leave the stockers in there - they perform admiradbly with the extra power from an aftermarket head unit.

If your going serious, ie amps etc, id get some 5.25 inch ones to replace them. The reason you dont get definite answers is because each brand has different mounting depths etc.
