I think what teejay is saying is, the amount of amps running through your relay whilst your car is running could be heating it up to X amount of degrees. When your car is turned off and let cool for 10 minutes (even in the sun) the relay is given time to atleast cool down a bit as amps do create a fair amount of heat. Sounds like it could be a go. Still reckon brant is to blame. Kill brant!
