im a cabinet makes just use mdf. The dishwasher wont or shouldn leak n if you are worried bout water damage put a couple coates of varnish to seal it up.it wont get that wet to do damage. If it does ya prob gonna need alot of towels to clean up the flood lol. Or even better get marine ply problem solved. Had a marine ply bait board lasted ages.
