335 coupe- goes pretty hard, need to change wheels to make it look good
E46 M3- nice car but even the last of series are getting onto 5 years old
Audi S5 (mates car)- doesn't feel any quicker than BMW, looks HOT though, nicer inside.
New Audi A4- they have just released a special edition with sports pack, RS6 wheels, etc. $100k is a lot for an A4 though..
Have also driven F6 and GTS. Like you am seriously worried about the resale factor, but its not like you buy a car to make money. They are both awesome cars for the money, the F6 in particular goes like stink too.
At the moment a mint M3 would be top of the list, still look great and go hard. Problem is finding a nice low km one. Otherwise it will be an F6 with a few mods, seriously impressive car.
Will be watching thread with interest...

An F6? Really Brett? I can not understand people cross shopping with Euro's and Aussie cars. Go drive a 3 year old Ford - they don't age well.
