335 coupe- goes pretty hard, need to change wheels to make it look good
E46 M3- nice car but even the last of series are getting onto 5 years old
Audi S5 (mates car)- doesn't feel any quicker than BMW, looks HOT though, nicer inside.
New Audi A4- they have just released a special edition with sports pack, RS6 wheels, etc. $100k is a lot for an A4 though..
Have also driven F6 and GTS. Like you am seriously worried about the resale factor, but its not like you buy a car to make money. They are both awesome cars for the money, the F6 in particular goes like stink too.
At the moment a mint M3 would be top of the list, still look great and go hard. Problem is finding a nice low km one. Otherwise it will be an F6 with a few mods, seriously impressive car.

Will be watching thread with interest...
An F6? Really Brett? I can not understand people cross shopping with Euro's and Aussie cars. Go drive a 3 year old Ford - they don't age well.

Haven't been in a 335i but love the S5 aswell as the M3.

$100K for an A4 is a bit over the top IMO so I would stick with the above options. As nice as an F6 or GTS may be I would be sticking with Euro cars for that money.

OK

Enquired at Audi Perth and they sold an S5 for 105K recently. I was told I'd get a call from someone in used cars but hasnt happened.

Also enquired on the balloon you can put on the various cars etc. Audi appear to put 40% whereas BMW will put 47.5% on near new cars - good indicator of resale.

The red S5 on the Gold coast is sold.

No closer to a decision but also no hurry. If the right 335i or S5 comes along the decision will be made.

Keep the suggestions coming though as S5 wasnt on the list to start - cheers for that.

Don't believe the higher balloons that Merc and BMW offer. Looks like better resale, means you have to put your hand in your pocket at the end of the lease.

If it is just a daily, Mum just bought an A4 Quattro Tiptronic. Damn great car imo.

Well i just drove a 335i and a mint condition low km 2006 E46 M3 back to back- if you can deal with lack of warranty the M3 shits on the 335i IMO. The M3 might not actually be any faster but it feels so much better, the noise, the look, its a sense of occasion to drive the thing.

Needless to say i bought the M3

I would say unless you are hell-bent on 2008+ drive an M3 if you can
