nm86wa, the best bet is to get whatever ones you want. After they have installed them, jump up in the ceiling and have a squiz. What i normally do is clear the insulation away from the hole, put a piece of 100mm PVC pipe (about 100-200mm long) around the hole (usually the downlight hole is 63mm) and then suspend the transformer from trusses. This will prevent any fires that could possibly happen. Otherwise, as soon as the sparkies are done, go in and make sure they did that (not excactly that people have different ways of doing things obviously). If not, get them back.
