Default Clutch pedal wont spring back!

'Sup

Driving back from a trip into town this arvo and the clutch pedal ceased to return to it's resting position, it only comes back about ~10mm now or so it feels like. Still able to shift gears by pressing hard into the floor and shifting but have to flick the pedal back up with my foot. Stopped by Peel Subaru on the way home and left the car there, they'll call me in the morning with a verdict and cost. While I'm at it the car is getting a service as well hope the clutch problem isn't a major/expensive one!

Anybody know a common reason why the clutch pedal would suddenly stop springing back like this? Mate suggested that the clutch fluid reservoir has sprung a leak so there's no pressure, but I don't know if that makes any sense because there's a return spring for the clutch pedal anyway.

Cheers, Lance
