Checked all that and it was fine.. then I had a closer look at the CV's.

Around the left inner CV was a pile of brown grease flung all over the floor pan and diff housing.

The CV itself makes a clicking/knocking noise when I grab the shaft and shake it back and forward, and it actually moves too, where as the other side is rock solid. The boot has probably deteriorated and it probably didn't help that the exhaust is about 1cm from the CV boot.

So can I rebuild the CV or is it just worth replacing the shaft?
