But its your call on it at the end of the day. I've got an apexi one installed but not used it. I think i use it more for the battery level and AFR (not accurate) than the timer function. I also drive like a granny so that helps
You can calibrate the Apexi unit to be accurate for narrow band AFR's....It will even work with a wide band controller like a Tech edge unit.
