Mazda R100...
V8 whipping 10A powa,
170kph top speed,
16 sec 1/4,
All from 990cc of engine! (a prelude to what japan would be bringing to performance cars in the future, innovation, technology & daring)
Introduced way back in 1968! (1968 XR falcon v8 was 1 1/2 seconds slower down the 1.4 mile lol!)

All for $2675!

It was a defining time for Japanese manufacturing (japan was considered then, how we now see chinese cars like 'Great wall' currently).

VW beetle/porsche 356......Still on the roads after 60 years.

1964 Porsche 911......The Current 2010 models still have the same design philosophy & layout.

Supercars aren't the greatest cars of all time.......They are out of reach of common people.

Jensen Intercepter FF AWD coupe from 1966, 15 years before the Quattro (1981)

"The FF was the world's first production car to use the four-wheel-drive system developed by Harry Ferguson Research Ltd. The "Ferguson Formula" (thus FF) split the torque at 67% rear, 37% to front which gave the car unreal handling qualities.

Combined with its anti-lock brakes, this car became known as the world's safest, and it would be some 15 years before another manufacturer was able to fit a four wheel drive system to a performance road car, in this instance the Audi Quattro.
