Default Airbag fault after wheel install... do'h!

Right, so I bought a Momo steering wheel off a forum member a week or so ago (cheers!), and installed it with a mate the other day. We went through step-by-step off a DIY install on another forum, making sure everything was in it's place and hooked up properly. We had the battery off, and once I turned it on, all was fine. Went for a drive, realised we hadn't aligned the wheels with the steering wheel, so pulled it all apart again, lined it up, put it all together (with the battery disconnected by taking the negative off).

That worked, went for a spin straight after without a drama, did an airport run last night with no problems.

I got in the car this morning, started it up, and went up my driveway. After a number of minutes, the 'Airbag' light on the dash would not turn off (this was not on last night). Unhooked the battery, pulled it apart, checked all the connections, put it together, turned the car on, airbag light was still on.

Any ideas? Car is a '98 Impreza GX.
