I was about to say that the system works fine in England, but then I remembered that every major English car producer has been sold to foreign companies and generally closed their English factories.

On the issue of it being cheaper, yeah it is... but to be honest everything in Australia is rather expensive, the taxes etc here are pretty hard core.
