The cage/rollover protection is not for performance but for your safety.
I'd rather a povo jap spec bolt in half cage than nothing should I be skating along on my lid.
Re the front bar. Do what you want with it. It's yours and will never be worth anything, so chop, colour, perm it - whatever imo.
