A range/performance code is not the same as boost cut.
The
ecu sends a signal to the wastegate solenoid to control boost, it's logic says: for the desired boost, I use this much duty cycle. With an exhaust fitted, it will consistently boost higher, not nessacarily hitting boost cut, after a predetermined amount of cycles with it overboosting, the
ecu determines that something is wrong with the solenoid, because at the desired duty cycle the boost is higher then it should be.
So, you can see, that it doesn't have to hit boost cut to have CEL.
'06 onwards have this as part of OBD
Verso can disable the code. If, indeed thats what it is.
