i had a nasty home-made mbc fitted by the last owner which was shit at holding boost to redline, pretty much no boost control at all

spiked at 15 psi at around 4k then died immediately off to 9 and kept falling

i would think a tune or stock boost control would hold boost better to redline, but from what you've said the mbc is doing an okay job
