Thought I'd tap the collective wisdom of p'wrxers who've become parents and moved on to another subie besides the wrx...

We'll be looking at libertys / foresters / outbacks this Wednesday night and was wondering what people have found work well with transporting little ones around and all the associated gear that goes with that.

#1 priority is safety, though (as a starting point) all are 5-star rated as far as I know. After safety the other important criteria would be things like space and reliability and running costs.

FYI don't expect to be towing, and don't expect to be doing any (serious) offroading.

If you want to share your full-blown comparison here please feel free to, but just looking at hearing what's worked well (or not) for the mum's and dad's out there.

P.S. I've heard about the Forester's crap auto tranny but will just have to see what that's like when test driving...

P.P.S. If anyone can suggest someone helpful at Wangara Subaru that'd be good to know too
