That's sad...
MODENA, Italy — Sergio Scaglietti was a skilled repairman and an early friend of Enzo Ferrari and his son Dino. That friendship with the Ferrari family — Scaglietti located his first repair shop in 1951 across the road from the Ferrari works in Maranello — and his skill in repairing and eventually designing racecars would make the Scaglietti name one of the most revered in sports-car circles.
Scaglietti, who died Sunday at age 91 at his home in Modena, was associated with some of the most beautiful and famous Ferraris of the past 60 years, notably the 1958 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa.
