I had something a bit similar but also had vibrations when i turned the wheel - had a look at the fluid and it was bubbly. I just went down to the autoshop and bought some new fluid for $10, syphoned out the old stuff from the top and added new stuff in and its been fine since
But i suspect that you would have had new fluid in the rebuild...?
