Default Dented Sump.

Couldn't find any threads with the specific information I'm chasing.

I've got the car up on Jackstands carrying out a service and have noticed that since I had the car last up - the sump has a shallow tapered dent - to 10mm at it's deepest point.

Does anyone know the clearance between the oil pickup and the sump on an EJ207? I have Oil Pressure, but I'm just thinking if even the slightest variance in clearance between the pickup and pan - could possibly cause cavitation at high RPM's.

I have seen worse on earlier model WRX's and Libertys, but unsure whether the sumps are the same geometry on an EJ207.

Internet Mechanics need not give advice. Please only say something useful if you've had a 207 apart. Thanks.
