The
MAF isn't a power sapping restriction - you only run into problems with them when you are flowing more air than they can read (usually over 350hp), so I have no idea what makes you think you need a bigger or different
MAF??
If you are running a factory
ECU then you MUST run the original
MAF - You cannot change one type out for another, the
ECU is calibrated to what ever
MAF was factory fitted.
Which is: 22680AA280 - a hotwire type
MAF
The 99
maf is the problematic hot film type & cannot be interchanged.
The only time you can change one type for another is if you have an aftermarket
ECU (i.e a power FC & fit a Nissan Z32
MAF for better resolution & reliability) and even then there's more to it than simply swapping the
MAF's over, you need to remap the entire airflow curve from scratch.
Ignore this advice & you will destroy your motor - no if's, no buts!
