Jesus christ it's odd reading this thread, and many others after such a long time. The WRX is gone now, it drove out the driveway a few weeks back and it was sad to see it go after what's been such an enjoyable time with a lot of great memories.

I got some reasonable coin for it though, so all in all, it was an awesome 10 years (!) and I took the most from it and thoroughly enjoyed every day I had the privelege of taking it for a drive.

Now for the new one.

I toyed around with the idea of Golf R's, I30Ns, etc and can definitely appreciate what they have to offer. They're a decent new age car. The problem for me is they are just too common. I also don't like FWD. I feel to some extent it's the default 'level-up', to modernise and retain some of that WRC/WRX 4WD turbo heritage.

I never took either for a testdrive for these reasons. So it came down to the M2 Competition and RS3. The Mrs has a A250 Merc and I couldn't fathom an A45S in the driveway next to each other and they are just to 'look at moii' despite how well they are engineered.

2020 RS3 Sportback 8V Facelift, 5200ks. Stock except:

APR FMIC
APR Downpipe
HyperTune Crashbar
EVenturi Intake / Carbon Pipe to Turbo
"Stage 2" Tune

To sum it up in one line, it's a point and shoot weapon. Not too bad around the corners, but needs a little work to get it as good as the Subaru was!

Looking forward to chucking on some better rubber and a few little tweaks here and there.
