When my bob was first plugged into the phone point in the living room, I was getting a download speed of around 10mbps when connected directly to the laptop. Now I've moved bob and plugged him into the newly fitted phone point in my room, plugged directly into my desktop, and now i'm only getting around 5mbps. FFFFFUUUUUUU!!!!

Is it possible an additional phone point has slowed it down? Or am I just generally f*cking unlucky

Dark tints and a sunshade does wonders..

Filters can die over time.
Had 2 fall apart on me over the years.

Can you put the Bob back in the other room, like it was before and see what figures you get.
I've seen some work where phone lines have been installed by twisting cores together and wrapping up in insulation tape, this is not the proper method for terminating data/voice cables.
Might be worth while getting up into the roof and seeing what work has been done and how it has been done.

If you have a new phone cable, e.g. 2m length that normally comes with modems, try giving that a go.
Also had a couple of cables die on me

Getting 2hrs sleep after a ridiculous night of hard drinking in melbourne for a mates wedding, checking out and dropping off your rental car to jump on a QANTAS flight home. Finding out then there is no flight and none were available until thursday.

So hungover I was barely able to walk, made my way to the best mans house who I'd shared a house with previously. We were both locked out of his apartment so decided to pass out on the poolside chairs for a while, starts to rain. try to pass out in the only bit of shelter available and some nasty ants bite the shit out of us.

Figure I'm not getting home any time soon so try to find a cheap hotel on google via my phone. Phone runs out of battery. Borrow mates phone and book a room in the city. Get to the room and I would have preffered a gutter somewhere in Gosnells.

The place was run by Indians.... The rooms that were once livable, had an extra wall chucked in the middle to make two rooms, the bed looked like they had picked it up from a roadside collection. It was past yellow and very brown looking. Lumps everywhere. Aircon was not controllabe from the room and someone elses smoke was coming into my room frm it. Window had been nailed shut so no fresh air. Hot water either didn't work at all or suddenly kicked in and burnt the shit out of you.

At this point I just wanted to vomit, shit and pass out. So I did.

Woke up with bite marks all over me. farkin bed bugs. Went and found a pizza and the world seemed o.k. again.

that's my cool story for the weekend.

Though it sorta worked out alright. One of the bridesmaids saw I was stuck so took me out last night. Nearly threw up at just the smell of a beer, but I perservered. Even gave me a clean bed for the night
