You begin with zero points, and you accrue demerits. In other words you don't 'lose' points, you 'gain' black marks.

So you have accrued 4 points. And from what I gather you can accrue a maximum of 8 points.

Here's a hot tip. A license is a priviledge not a right. You are calling these 'bullshit' fines, but when you are in control of the vehicle you need to be in control of your passengers too. No seatbelt on, don't drive them anywhere. If an off duty cop is putting a fine in for driving on a footpath or something, have a good hard think about what driving style you have causing an off duty cop to do this.

It is all about time and place. Shit in your backyard and you will have a heap of trouble.
