Neither of us have received confirmation from pmu japan currently we have 2 different distrubuters contradicting the other, one of them is lying.

Until pmu Japan confirm either way this arguing is pointless

David: I do believe the brake pads have served you well for the last 2 race sessions and your concern is the rate of wear, which you mentioned.

I have in no way 'forcibly convinced customers' as you have mentioned, but have approached the said accusation by provided supporting communications with the Japanese supplier, whose Oceania office is based in Singapore, to verify the authencity of the brake pads.

Dukedrifter: Yes to that.

Does that mean this is over?

Moral of the story: Motorsport is expensive, pay the right price for genuine items and shit fights ,like this, don't happen.

If it's sounds to good to be true, it normally is.

If you aren't happy with a product, consult the seller, don't like the answer, don't buy it again.

Perth is a small enough place where bad news travels faster than good and a reputation for suppling parts, good or bad, cheap or expensive is known to most people.

You wanna play, you pay.

Simple.
Done.

Secondly is it wrong to expect pads that resemble the pictures in your own thread on this very site in at least design which the pads you supplied do not ?

mine look exactly like that, just saying...

mao 11-03-2014 03:45 PM

The ones in the picture were Spec Bs.

I believe the supplier had already mentioned to you about the colour changes as well.

Yes you have every right to query as you are the paying customer. And I have done my best to be upfront with you, CCing you emails promply, supplying supplier verifications and explaining whenever and wherever I can.

With regards to the brake pads, they are genuine HC+, produced and manufactured by PMu in Japan.

I am also happy as you suggested to wait for further confirmation and verifications.

And mine do not and the front and the rears are the same, this is my point exactly.

mao 11-03-2014 03:53 PM

Spektre purchased way before you and as I am no longer a vendor here since sept last year and as such, no updates.

Taylor, as mentioned via email by the supplier, colour changes were effective recently and the front is the current purple, while the rear was older stock with the project mu green.

Cheers.

And the change in design ? No channel in the pad ? Project mu still haven't update there site to the updated colour scheme nor have they admitted to change from a colour scheme synonymous with the brand.

MadDocker 11-03-2014 04:03 PM

Not 100% sure but reading that email, the purple pads read like they could be an SPK pad, made by ProjectMu to the specs of HC+. Possibly not a ProjectMu branded HC+ pad like the green ones in the picture.

Only guessing here and trying to decipher the bullshit from my armchair.

Edit: Also, reading it again. The email from SPK says "The HD by SPK Japan brake pads are manufactured by PMU." It then says "The green colour pads are HC+ spec and was an interim colour before we (presumably SPK) specified them in purple"

I don't know enough about brake pads or these companies, but, the wording here could mean some (the HD) are manufactured by PMU. It doesn't necessarily say that the HC+ purple pads were in fact manufactured by PMU.

Not meaning to fuel any fires but the wording isn't 100% clear to the layperson in my opinion.
