Note - Mods feel free to close if you do not like this thread, secondly I'm simply sharing the facts i have gathered so that people can make their own minds up.

Prior to the Perth-Wrx Collie track day another member and i purchased some new brake components pads from Evolution R, i have a copy of the receipt at home if its necessary

After picking up i suspected they werent quite what i had paid for but never the less i needed them and they would do the job for collie.

I then received an Pm from Mao telling me that i had in fact received JDM HC+ pads

So i contacted PMU

Sent them these photos as they requested for comfirmation

I don't know about you but that's not exactly what i thought i was buying but you live and you learn from your mistakes.

The fronts are rebranded pmu gear for some asain markets while the rear pads are not. They have certain suppliers in Asia that they allow to rebrand. In no circumstance should these pads find there way to Australia.

One is a HC+ but made aaaaaages ago
The other isn't even a Project Mu pad at all

Are project Mu taking it any further?

So basically you bought ancient HC+ with EBC rears thrown in and to make matters worse Mao doesn't even know what he sold you?

Jaron - I'm sure Mao knows exactly what he is selling. Probably relying on 99% of his customers not knowing what they're buying.

I has no real issue with what I got given until I received the above pm, you get what you pay for and I accept that.

I'm just sharing the information so that other members can make their own mind up.

Burke, pmu Australia told me they are well aware of him and are doing everything they can to stop this sort of thing but it's extremely hard when they do not know who or where he is buying them from.

LOL I sat here thinking to myself "Project Mao Pads lol@myownjoke" ... then saw it in the tags. Nice work whoever that was!
