I have about 3mm clearance between sidewall and my G4 struts. 245 would definitely be a problem with most coilovers. Will probably be ok with a normal strut.

Other way would be to get a lower offset wheel, +43 or +45 to get enough inside clearance then but then you'll probably have issues with outside clearance fitting under the guard if you're running lower than standard ride height, especially with a 245.

I have rubbing issues on the outside with 18x8.5 +43 rims with 235/40 tyres, but it only just touches and just chews my sidewalls abit so some camber would make it go away.
