nah not at all looks A1!!! For sure if you have the know-how go for it. Just something about cutting a hole in the roof that would make most people a bit uneasy

jaron theres a 40 page pdf that has step by step instructions on how to install it. If u couldnt follow that then u couldnt follow the road rules.

But i do understand the trepidation of cutting into ur roof. Took me 4 hrs to decide to do it and my mate had to come round for moral support

Yeah, they're functional. Clint's RA had one and you can feel the air coming through.

There function is to provide fresh air into the cabin when the windows are up due to rain, dust etc etc.

They assist in performance as a weight reduction in cases where the aircon system is removed. So yes its not just for bling it actually works.

I have the vent open most days driving instead of opening the front and rear window. Also its much quieter than having the window open.

I must admit though bugs do enter this way into the cabin, ive been hit by bees a few times, scared the living crap out of me.. hahah luckily the impact snapped its head so i didnt get bitten.
