Default Carbon fibre Repairs

Anyone know where I can get some repairs done on a CF wing?

It looks like its a coating over the top of carbon firbre FRP type stuff. Like the wing isn't sheet CF, it's moulded CF....with this coating over it, but the coating still has the CF cross weaving....hmm.

So yeah, any ideas?

I'm pretty sure theres an aviation place out near jandakot that does carbon fibre repairs.... but it wont look pretty. Most repairs would be more aimed at high stress components (eg CF bike frames) rather than cosmetic parts.

It got biten by our racehorse,

I'll have to take a photo of it when I'm home on Wednesday...

It's like the clear coat has been scratched but under it, you can't see any CF weaving, it's just black composite, I dunno how you would get the weaving effect back....

pete is ur racehorse making u money.. then if so its alright... ahhaha

Im sure if the clear coat isnt damaged too much, then u should be able to sand it down and re-coat, well thats wot im going to do with mine.

The ends of the wing are painted black for the effect, but i dont think u will remove it with the light sanding

Just turning a profit...yeah...

I'm going to head in to the Spoiler Shop in Myree on break and just get an opinion to see what they think...I haven't heard the best things about them though, so finding someone to do it could be the problem, plan to get a respray soon too, so many chips and scratches hey..

im actually going to have a go myself pete, dosent seem to hard to do. Just going to sand the top portion of the wing as the underside is in perfect condition and i dont want to acidently remove the sti logo

but let me know how u go at the spoiler shop. I got one opinion from a painter that teknick used to use and he didnt want to touch it as he didnt know how much he could sand it back before hitting the CF layer..
