Default Fitting Fog Covers - MY99 wrx

Just got some - have the hole down the bottom although nothing to screw into next to the fog light. Like there needs a small bracket behind the foglights - anyone with MY99/00 covers fitted please help! Mines not sti.

From memory for these you actually need the front bumper off... the covers with the one bolt at the bottom fix into the front bumper near the little triangular shaped hole in the bottom of it (below the fog light)

correct me if i'm wrong...

You do need a bracket to screw them into.. basically you take the screw out of one of the spotlight corners that match up to the hole in the new cover. the bracket then sits over the foglight hole and you reuse the screw to bolt the bracket onto the foglight. The cover then sits over the foglight and the hole in the bottom of that matches up with the bracket. An allen key head screw then secures the cover into the bracket..

Hope that makes sense, I'm sure you can get the brackets from subaru...

$16 each from Subaru without bolts - 2 nuts and tiny piece of sheetmetal. Lol - im in the wrong business....

$16 just for the brackets only!!! i got two fog light cover left n' right for $40 !!!! includin brackets...

so i pressume the front bar doesnt need to be removed?

Just purchased some second hand fog light covers for MY98. They have no holes in them. I assume they were meant to have brackets to fit them like the MY99 ones (but they don't)...?

Another case of having to buy them from subaru?
