i really dun understand some ppo, what do they get from scratching nice cars?
if they get something in return, yea.. fair enuff.. but they get absolutely nothing, and risk getting caught and or bashed up, and they still do it. as for the damage. get a few quote first if it isn't too expensive, then pay to fix it. claim insurance only if it cost alot. cos if you claim, then it MAY be a lil sus, also you have to pay excess fee, you prolly get higher premium, you prolly screw up ya NCB too. Excess is $1300. My NCB will drop from 30% to 20%.
Sweet. Shoot me now. |

that is bullshit, I had a similar thing happen.
Friday night, footy is on, go grab a six pack to share with the old man to watch the game. I get out of the bottle shop the see half my side skirt missing and a massive dent and scratch in my car. Hit and fucken run! I'm in the same boat, I only just changed my insurance over last week! I bet they will tell me to get stuffed! |

Sounds like a $2500 re spray job. Might be better to cop it on the chin and jusy pay out of your own pocket. That way you have a straight record with insurance agencys and you wont lose 2 years of no claim bonus. My friend had his S15 200sx eyed all over. Cost $2500 to fix but they didnt the best job, looked bran new. Think about it might be cheaper in the long run.

Looks like I'm in the respray boat.
What are you looking at for a respray on a MY99? WRC Blue if it matters. |

My friend had his done at m & h panel and paint (used to be melvile panel and paint?). They only sprayed the damged panels and used the factory paint I think. Perfect job.
Take it round and get some quotes. Will help you decide on what to do. |

![]() ![]() you will NEVER get the colour right by doing touch up, so get the whole car repainted and claim through insurance which should take effect the moment you pick up the car, not when you start paying. insurance company (most of them anyway) understand shit happens and besides you really had nothing to gain from doing this. |

FARRKKK Dan, no good mehn!!!!
![]() When I read your email today, my heart sunk...BRAND new MY05 STi, the fuckers were jealous for sure....dumb cunts need their hands cut off. You did start your policy a few weeks before you paid it, and the insurance company normally gives you a cover note for the time in between, so you shouldnt have a problem at all going through your insurance company.. |

if its a brand new 05 why would it look suspicious to claim?
it wont look dodgy coz who in their right mind would damage their ownbrand new car with perfect paint personally id go insurance if the scratches are down to the primer i have a spraypainting mate in spearwood who has done all my painting and the colour match to the tee. he is quite cheap also either way id be pissed too |
