I have Hertz HSK 165 splits installed in the front doors. They dont have a very big magnet, unlike say the alpine SPX's that replaced them. But Im getting major door rattle from mild bass or volume.
Its really come to the point where its fuckng with my life.

Iv cut as much of the inside section as I can, without exposing a hole where the speaker sits, but still the woofer (possbly tweeter aswell) are hitting the trim.
Now b4 I take the car to an audio shop to get custom molds/pods done for them, i was looking at the 05-07 door trims and i see that the woofer section possibly could allow for more space for the woofer??

Are any ppl getting rattles with the same model car - if u have aftermarket speakers?
I have dynamat installed on the doors etc...

Considering my options atm.

Sell it and buy an Audi.

i had after market speakers in the 06 hatch. didnt have any rattle.

have aftermarket speakers in my 02sti, and dont have any rattle again.

possible I opted for speakers with a smaller magnet at the rear, or less depth, not sure.
