Default 07 STi Wing Fitment

Guys,

I had the sti wing fitted by subaru when i bought the car.

Question is, they would have had the normal wrx wing on there but would they have used the same holes to fit the STi one? Or is it possible that they have just butchered the bootlid to make it fit?

Cheers!

They would of used the four holes from the original wing on either side, question is whether they drilled anymore to attach the Sti wing in the middle.

Maybe have a look on the inside of the bootlid and see if you can see anymore bolts than the two on either end.

I had an STi wing fitted by the dealership on my car. It just has 4 holes plus the 2 clip holes each side

Knowing that Subaru are tight asses when it comes to shit like this they've probably just used the 4 holes and stuck it on with Silastik FTL

most sti wings use the 2 holes in the middle of the bootlid also to pull it down.

So are you thinking of going for the wingless look Chris or putting a stock spoiler on?

Yeah was thinking of going wingless but then i'd probably have to lower it for it to look good. I'd rather spend the money on performance mods. Havent seen too many wingless Pigs around though. Might be a bit of a pain though with filling in the holes and re-painting. I got that 5th dimension stuff put on like an idiot as well which makes me think twice about any body work.

where would one get a GX bootlid from? JWS wouldn't stock them would they? Surely they wouldnt waste time importing GX parts.

I might check the Yellow's
