Are the my 98 rex (without the bulging honeycomb grill) headlights the same as the 99/00 wrx headlights. THanks

no. the 99/00 headlights are the crystal clear ones, but are the same shape as the 98's. 99/00 headlights will fit straight in.

Just one more question... as im trying to update the looks of my 98 to a 99 model. WIll the front grille fit my 98 bonnet? In other words... all i really need to do to update the looks of my rex is get the front bumper and front grille? Any advice will be wonderful...thanks!

yeah it should do, im pretty sure that the 98 bonnet is the same as 99/00

They're the same.
