I don't know about you guys, but I've been to roughly 4 reputable panel beaters, who have all said "yeah mate I will draw up the quote and give you a call"...... and low and behold they never do. I call em back and leave messages but they never return the calls.

Seems to me panel beaters have more than enough work. I will happily take my cash elsewhere....

I think that maybe the case most places.. I'll let ya know if he calls me back with the quote.

One thing is they are busy, when I walked in she asked if it was urgent as they have a 4 week waiting period.

Guys as far as Wilkinsons go for me they have been hot and cold, cold, cold.

Visit 1) 83 Subaru Leone about 1990 = Deluxe Service, half car painted and rust removed 10 out of 10!
Visit 2) MY99 WRX about 2000. Apparently magnetic 2 way aerials come off at 180+ kph Back Panel work and respray. Paint work substandard, repaired on return visit by an hours cutting and polishing. Poor Service imho.

Visit 3) MY99 WRX approx 2003 Bonnet painted only. Bent by a mechanic Incorrectly paint matched, very poor service imho. Checked under bonnet before driving home and found turbo still wrapped in plastic
Visit 4) To have bonnet repainted the correct colour after several months of haggling. Work agreed to be done FOC. Additional panels painted to cover original poor match, I was not informed, paint runs(i kid you not) on front rhs panel installed free of charge.

A friend is visiting Wilkinsons this week...stay tuned for an update. Next time I will try Lombardis.

i still havent got the car back but im not fussed as i told them to take there time with it as i just want the best job possible. im expecting it tuesday.

Got the car on friday morning couldnt be happier workmanship was spot on

also had the front and rear side skirts done, prices are more than reasonable too!
