Glad it's worked for ya 'gumby2006'.....and for 'PIGSTIWGN'.......OHHH I FEEL FOR YA M8 - IT'S FRIGGIN SHITTING ME NOW! I hate radio these days anyways too (except maybe jjj) but there's just gotta be a logical explanation!?!
Can't remember who asked but yes the original stock standard unit picked up all radio perfect and that was also with the after market street legal tint on the back window. There's probably something engineered into the stock units that compensate for whatever the hell this problem is.

Have they tested the antenna cable itsself that it doesnt have a break in it somewhere?
Dunno if that sounds stupid, but it was just a thought that maybe the cable somewhere is damaged.

Well I Took It Back There And They Had It For A Day And A Half Scratching Their Heads & Trying All Sorts Of Stuff - External After Market Antenna, Wrapped The Whole Head Unit In Alfoil, Replaced The Earth & So I Didn't Ask But I Assume He Would've Then Checked That All Wiring Was Working Ok Too?

Easiest way to trouble shoot this problem:

1. Connect stock deck up.
2. Check for problems, if problems exist check them out individually (i.e. no reception, check antenna cable)
3. Plug in new deck.
4. If no reception check that the power antenna cable has been hooked up correctly.
5. If still no reception the deck is faulty, try another.
6. If still no reception the installer is a douche, try another.
