Default Intake Manifold

I am of the opinion that the red one on STi's makes the engine bay look far more impressive.

Not wanting to be all "try hard STi" I want to get mine powder coated black. Opinions? Is heat absorption & retention in the engine bay going to be a problem?

I like the non-gloss look of the red STi ones, on the rough surface of the manifold. I reckon it would look hawt in black.

Also I thought about spraying it but i want to do a quality job.

Black Wrinkle paint - but do it right, i.e. sandplast, primer, wrinkle (4 coates in 4 spray directions - as per instructions on can)

Yep, just be careful putting all your 'bits' back in place - a well dropped scredriver can undo hours of work :P

Ohh not only a screwdriver, i well dropped bolt for your BOV adaptor to connect to your top mount means another 45 minutes trying to put magnets into the engine bay and realising only chewing gum really does the job.
