hmm just went through my pics and none of them show a decent view of the brake light lit. Havnt taken much pics since ive de-winged it but ill try to get some soon.

if you look at any rs subaru's on the street or net - thats how they look - stock as. you cant see my unit due to my heavy tiniting but you can see the brake light when on

Thought I would just add to this thread:
A mate and I put this in this arvo, definitely a two person job to ensure it is centered, feed wires etc. I picked up a NARVA LED brake light from autoone, came with connectors and heaps of wiring. Drill small hole here to pass wires through. Use the supplied connectors one for (-/+) and it will splice into existing wing light wiring. (Big blue connectors come with light) Here is the finished product: Hope this helps Thanks SCOOTER
